We Need The Holy Spirit
Luke 4:18-19
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
If Jesus needed the unction of the Holy Spirit in His ministry, how much more do we Christians need the same anointing in our daily life?
Remember He came to show us the way:
John 14:6
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Let us see the way He is showing and walk in it? It is the only way to the Father.
Therefore, let us follow His instruction to us:
Luke 9: 23-24
23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
For:
Matthews 6:24
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
So, we cannot be led by the Holy Spirit and our flesh or self at the same time.
May He lead and guide us into all the Truth: the “ONLY WAY” in Jesus Name, Amen.
